WTO Ruling

If you are not familiar with the WTO (World Trade Organization) a recent ruling was just handed down. The US (United Stats of America) has lost an appeal over the gambling Prohibition laws. Antigua has successfully beaten the United States and the WTO panel came to the following ruling: The United States of America by passing the Unlawful Internet Gambling Prohibition Act and having carve outs for State run lotteries, fantasy sports and horse racing is in violation of free trade laws as the US is having protectionism. Antigua will most likely be pushing for sanctions such as withdrawing intellectual property protection of US trademarks. That would mean Antigua would be allowed to sell music CD, DVD, Software etc. at extremely low prices and essentially run these companies out of business by copying and reselling all of the intellectual property.
